For Today

August 18, 2010

Outside my window... the sun is shining - its going to be a HOT but beautiful day

I am thinking... that I REALLY need to finish editing photos

I am thankful... for the life I have in Christ

From the kitchen... there will be some kind of chicken cooked :)

I am wearing... khaki shorts and a teal sleeveless shirt

I am reading... not really reading anything right now.....not alot of time

I am hoping... that my photos get edited TODAY

I am hearing... my youngest daughter singing

Around the house... laundry needs to be done

One of my favorite things... when my 3 year old looks at me and says "Let me give you a BIG hug!" and "Momma, I love you!"

For Today

August 13, 2010

Outside my window... I hear thunder but that doesn't necessarily mean it is going to rain! We need rain badly.

I am thinking... that I have a million and a half things to get done before tomorrow

I am thankful... for dear, sweet friends

From the kitchen... its pizza night - I, however, am having a salad

I am wearing... khaki shorts and a black sleeveless shirt

I am reading... "Mommy's locked in the Bathroom - Surviving your child's early years with your sanity and salvation intact!" by Cynthia Sumner (maybe I will finish this book one day)

I am hoping... that I will get my laundry done tonight

I am hearing... nothing......the girls are eating dinner

Around the house... things desperately need to be picked up

One of my favorite things... when my hubby takes the girls out for a bit so that mommy can lay down and rest!!

Kindergarten

My oldest daughter started Kindergarten today. I didn't think I would be so emotional, but I am! I knew this day would come and that I can't keep my babies from growing up. As I watched her excitement as she entered her classroom, I couldn't help but flash back to the day she was born. Where have all the years gone?!? They have slipped away from us too quickly. I can not wait for her to get home and tell me all about her day. Thank you Father for my precious little girl.

Until next time..........

School Time.........WHAT!?!........WAIT!?!

I can not believe that school starts again on Monday! Where did the summer go!?! My heart is filled with great joy, as well as great sadness as we approach the upcoming school year. I am saddened that our daughter is starting Kindergarten. I mean I knew this day was going to come, however, it has come way to fast. (I know I can get an Amen from all of the mothers out there). Next thing you know it she will be getting her ears pierced, her drivers permit, etc. I don't know how to stop the "growing up" stage so if any of you figure it out please let me know! :) I am filled with great joy over the fact that we are sending our sweet child to a Christian school where she will be fed the Word of the living God day in and day out. (Yes, I know we said we were going to homeschool, but we are going to wait one more year to do that - for many reasons to long to put on a blog) We are joyful to see our child soar to new levels of academics as she seeks to glorify the Father in all that she does. I can not wait to see what the Father has in store for all of us this school year.

Until next time.......

For Today

August 4, 2010

Outside my window
... it is so hot, a little overcast and thundering (why does it just thunder and not rain!?!)

I am thinking... that I need to get some laundry done, cardio workout in and photos edited

I am thankful... for the gift of life I have in Christ

From the kitchen... chicken casserole and grilled corn on the cob

I am wearing... khaki shorts and a red shirt

I am reading... "Mommy's locked in the Bathroom - Surviving your child's early years with your sanity and salvation intact!" by Cynthia Sumner (maybe I will finish this book in the next week!)

I am hoping... that the Father calls one of our dear friends (who has cancer) home to Himself very quickly and with as little pain as possible

I am hearing... children singing and laughing

Around the house... dinner is finished and we are preparing for school

One of my favorite things... when my hubby takes me on a date
